I have experienced the same problem at different times and
have no excact answer to why. This is what I did that
finally seemed to work.
From file menue choose "Save as". Make shure that file
format in the dialouge box is: "Microsoft Excel Workbook
(*.xls)". Save the file with a new name. You can then
change the file name back to whatever the original file
name was.

try to rename it it tells me to check my format. It seem
