Page borders and table borders

I want to create a border for a table but the border I want to use is
actually a page border. Can a page border be modified so that it can be used
as a table border?

Thanks in anticipation!
Helen.

If you really need both, this might be an idea:

1. Create your table (and fix up the outside border to your liking).
2. Create as many rows as necessary to house your data
3. Create extra rows (without borders) as necessary to ensure the bottom and
sides of the table are as close to the page margins as possible.

Keep in mind that most inkjet printers don't allow you to get much closer
than 0.6" from the bottom of the page when you print. This method won't
require you to have a page border at all since the outside of your table
will be it. And if you don't want to have your data go all the way to the
left hand right-hand margins, you can always create small columns without
the borders to provide that extra space.

If this doesn't make sense and you need a sample, holler back.

No, unfortunately Border Art is not available for paragraph or table
borders. You could perhaps fudge this (though I think it would be more
trouble than it was worth) by applying the page border (with distance set
"From text") to a page with margins set to provide the size border you need
for your table (after you are sure the size will not be affected by
subsequent editing), then use a screen capture program such as SnagIt to
grab a picture of the border, save it in a graphics format, and insert it as
a picture behind the table.

Thanks for replying folks.

The main problem is that I want to use a particular page border design for a
logo on a letterhead. I thought the best way to do this was through creating
a table. Easier said than done eh? ….

Alternatively, if I could find the filename of the particular border art,
could I then modify it and then save it as clip art or a picture? Would
anybody know where the border art files are saved to and how I could go about
doing this???
