Actual Cost greater than Planned Cost

Hi all,

I have one resource assigned to a task. The task duration is 8 hours and
the resource costs $12.50/hour with $12.50 for overtime. The Planned Cost is
therefore $100. After 8 hours of actual work being applied to this task we
see that we need to apply at least 16 more hours of work to complete the
task. When we complete 9 hours of work, we should have ACWP equal to $112.50,
but instead it is recorded as only $100. Also, the BCWP should be $100.
Instead, I have an ACWP equal to $100 and a BCWP equal to $0.00. Am I
missing something? Shouldn't these values be $112.50 and $100 respectively?

Thanks,
Glenn

As to why it isn't working, the pertinent questions are:
1. Have you saved a baseline?
2. What is the status date set to?

The ACWP should be $112.50 and the BCWS $100. As you are at best (you
need at least 16 hours more work) 9/24 of the way through the task, your
BCWP cannot exceed $37.50.

Thanks Dave. Now it's working.
