earned value cost indicator tables

Hi...
I'm using '03 and have a PM overhead task spread over the duration of the
project. I enter the cost in the cost field. The matching PM resource is work
and no std rate. When the task is 'update as scheduled' (fixed units/effort
driven off), ACWP updates correctly, but no BCWS/BCWP entries.

I have resources with std. rate entries and assignments to tasks. When they
are updated (either actual duration or actual work) no entries are made in
the earned value BCWS/BCWP/CV.

Any clue as to what I am doing wong?
Thanks

Hello,

The Earned Value method needs two references to calculate these values : a
Baseline and a Status Date. Did you set these two references?

You will need to enter a standard rate greater than 0 and reset your baseline.
BCWS is the *planned cost* (price) of work scheduled to the status date. If
the standard rate is $0/hr then there is no cost to this resource.
