Actual work doubled for a single task...

In Project Server 2003 ... Has anyone ever experienced doubling and tripling
of actual hours submitted by a resource against a task?

I have a resource who 8 hours per day against a single task for the week of
Aug. 17th-21st. (His PWA Task List shows 8 black hours for each day of that
week). But...when I view his hours in the project from Resource Usage, I
notice the following:

Monday (08/17) - 16 hours (doubled)
Tuesday (08/18) - 24 hours (tripled)
Wednesday (08/19) - 24 hours (tripled)
Thursday (08/20) - 24 hours (tripled)
Friday (08/21) - 16 hours (doubled)

This is the only task that has had this issue during the mentioned timeframe
(or any other timeframe as best I can tell) and the only week in which said
resource has experienced an issue.

No other resources reported hours against this task during the mentioned
timeframe.

Any input as to how this might have occurred is greatly apprciated.

Have you tried syncing your actuals with PWA? Tools -> Tracking -> Sync
to protected actuals
Did this solve your problem? If not and if possible, ask your resource
to update his hours in PWA again (first submit 7h or 9h for every day,
afterwards, submit 8h again).

If this solves your problem, and nowhere else in your environment you
see this problem, it is most likely a one-time glitch (e.g. could be
caused by network failure during a save, update, ...).
Because Project Server 2003 has no queueing at all, these kind of
problems sometimes occur.

I hope this helps,
Hans
