Baseline Cost Rollup problems - desperate for help.

I am having a problem with the rollup to summary levels when I do a Baseline
Save for a single task.

If the earliest baseline start for all subtasks falls on a Friday, the
baseline cost for that first friday only doesn't roll up to the summary
level. All other days do. Basseline Work does. Is this a bug I found? (I
am using Project Pro 2003.) Can anyone reproduce this problem? Is there
some other reason Baseline Cost would not be rolling up for the first day if
it is Friday? (In my case May 18th 2007) If I move the baseline start for
one of the subtasks to 5/17/07, a Thursday, it rolls up correctly.

Hello Craig,

Sorry, I can't reproduce what you report based upon the information you
have provided.

A couple of things to clarify:
You note you are using Project 2003, what is the service pack level?
Are the costs coming from Work Resources, Material Resources, Fixed
Costs?
I assume that the costs (before saving a baseline) for the summary task
was correct and that the total baseline cost for the summary task is
incorrect.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks Julie,
I have reproduced the problem on SP1 and SP2. Resources are work resources.
Your assumption about the cost being correct and the summary baseline cost
after the baseline is right on. On a task view, if I look at baseline cost
column, the detail rows do not add up to the value shown in the summary
level, so I went to a task usage view and found the reason: that first day
of time scaled baseline values didn't roll up to the summary levels at all.
The baseline work is correct at the summary level as I stated, but the
summary level baseline cost dosn't just say 0.00, it is blank for only that
one day. I wish I could post screen shots here to clarify better.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, the problem doesn't happen when I initially
baseline, only when I rebaseline one of the individual subtasks.

Hi Craig,

If you'd like to shoot me a copy of the file, I'll take a look. I was
unable to reproduce, so a copy of the unusual file may help. I'll try
to repro again after a passing thunderstorm :)

Craig,

When you re-baselne the selected task(s), I assume you are choosing the
option to roll up the baseline?
