Baseline data initially missing or does disappear

We are using MSP 2007. We have plans that are baselined and updated weekly
and we are finding that the all of the baseline fields are not populated. The
baseline dates are recorded but the baseline costs fields still show $0.

We are publishing the plans to MSP Server and we find that baseline data
shows in a plan and when we clear the cache and re-open, the baseline data is
no longer there.

When we see the issue and before we publish to server, we clear the current
baseline and re-save and the fields are usually populated. However, the
server issue of the data going away does come back on random plans.

The issue is starting with MSP and not server but is happening on some of
the plans and we cannot replicate to find a pattern. It's also happening on
several systems so it does not seem to be a specific user or install.

Thoughts?

Best to check with the Server gurus on the newsgroup dedicated to
Project Server.

It's happening in MSP before we even touch server. MSP Server just exposes
the issue when the EV reports are blank.

We installed SPs on both MS Project and Project Server.
One plan originally missing data, now has data. Others did not recover.

We can't get it to re-create but it was unpredictable from the beginning.

I did find a fix of clearing the binary tables which worked for plans not
getting the EV up to MSPS but it does not help if MS Project never saved any
baseline data.

The gantt bars show as baselined but the baseline data fields are zero. It's
a behavior I've never seen in any version of MS Project.

We're not calling this solved yet but there was some improvement.
