Cannot open One Note

I've got lots of information stored in my One Note notebooks which worked
well until recently. My OS is Vista and I did a recover thingy (for lack of
a better word) at some time in the past couple of months. I didn't notice
that One Note wasn't working after I did the recovery but that doesn't really
mean anything.

I've searched for the answer and found some tips that directed me to the
help menu but I can't open ON at all.

I'm ot computer savy and have lost my computer magician and am so lost.

Thanks!!

Mimi

Please be more detailed. How exactly is OneNote not working? Is it
giving an error message? If so, what is the exact text of the error
message? Is it just exiting silently without doing anything? Something else?

I'm sorry I wasn't clear.

When I click on the One Note icon in the start menu nothing happens. A
month or two ago I got an error message that said I should add an add-in.
That day I didn't try to do anything and when I finally went back to ON to
add the add-in the program will not open at all.

I have MS Office 7 Professional and all of the other applications work just
fine. I hope this helps!

Thanks,

Mimi

Microsoft Office 2007 Professional does not include OneNote in its set
of programs. Did you purchase a separate copy of OneNote?
In any case, can you go to C:\Programs\Microsoft Office\Office12, and
see if the OneNote.exe app is there? If it is not there, you will need
to reinstall OneNote. If it is there, what happens when you double click it?
