Cannot open One Note

O

OliviaKeeling

I am suddenly not able to open One Note. The message says it may be caused by
insufficient hard disk space, but I have plenty. It goes on to say I may have
insufficient write permissions for One Note's notebook cache files in my user
settings folder. I don't know where this folder is. It tells me to delete any
unneeded files and try to open the program again. What does this mean? Where
is the settings files and where are the cache files to delete? Why would I
suddenly not have permission to open the program?

I had this same problem yesterday. I went to Internet Explorer Options
Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History > Delete > Temporary
Internet Files, then I restarted my computer and was able to get back
in.

One tool you may want to use in the future to keep things tidied up is
CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com). Makes short work of tidying up all sorts
of temp files and other stuff. (The first C in the name stands for
Crap, so it's a Crap Cleaner.)
