Hi Rich!

This sounds like your SMTP settings may be incorrect.

According to this page on Verizon's website
<http://www22.verizon.com/Residentia...ooting/Top Help Issues/QuestionsOne/86782.htm>
your SMTP server should be "outgoing.verizon.net".

Fro home use: beyond just entering your name and password you should
probably have none of the advanced receiving options selected. You can
edit your account using Tools --> Accounts... and double-clicking your
problem account's name.

While traveling, you're off the Verizon network. Many service providers
either completely block sending mail through their systems or require
that you authenticate to connect. This is to prevent spam. You might
experiment with enabling the advanced options to see if these allow you
to send.

Possibly, someone else with a Verizon account will know the exact
settings you need.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much. What I am finding out is that I can send "Sometimes" depending on what or where I am connected? While connected at a hotel in Bangor recently I could not send at all. Connected in Cincinnati to another wi fi connection and it worked. Probably verizon incoming mail server decides which and when it allowes to receive my mail. Tech support guy said the verizon server(s) were not at fault.
Thanks for your help William, much appreciated.
