Change Color on template

J

JKirkland

I am working with the PPT template here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC010184041033.aspx?pid=CT101043001033#
This is the template I like and that I want to use, but my issue is I want
the coloring to be horizontal instead of vertical. I've tried to go in and
change the fill affect of the background, but the coloring is not in the
background. That only changes the white behind the design. If anyone can
tell me how to change the coloring, that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!

The gradient is just an image on the background. You'd have to create your
own image.

You could fake it, though.

Add a rectangle on the slide master (View | Master | Slide Master), and go
to Fill Color (the paint bucket on the Drawing tool bar) | Fill Effects |
Gradient. Put in the gradient you want. Then create that small border inside
that by drawing another rectangle, giving it a white line and no fill, and
making it a little smaller than the original rectangle. Then delete the
original picture.

Alternatively, go to the slide master "View - Master - Slidemaster" and click
on the background image. Then rotate it "Draw - Rotate Left/Right 90" and
re-size the picture to the size of your slide. The frame "emboss" will be
slightly distorted (wider on the sides than on top) but that's something you
may be able to live with.

Hope this helps.
