Hi,

I have an English version of office 2004. But when making templates, my language seems to be stuck on French. Which is very weird since my operating system is also in English.

I tried changing the language in Tools (I even set it to default) but when I reopen the document it's back on French.

Does anybody know what to do? I need to get this urgently to a client...

Changing the default Language does nothing to modify an existing document
which is already formatted as a different language. It only affects new
documents based on that template created from that point on.

In order to change the language formatting of the existing document, Select
All, then go to Tools> Language & select the preferred language. If you've
used Styles to format the document, however, it would be better to modify
each Style to correct the language formatting.
