Color of bullets

Is there a way to have a bullet a different color from the text next to it?

Using P2002, Win ME

Click on "special characters (¶), highlight the symbol (¶), choose the color, when
you re-click special characters your bullets will be your chosen color.

Mary,
I'm not following you. How do I get to the "special characters" you mention?
I've looked at Insert-Symbol, and View-Special Characters, and I'm unable to
see anything like your directions.

Mary, I really appreciate your help. Before I posted my question, I searched
the help files, but couldn't find anything. Is your solution documented in
help?

In help, input bullets, it will tell you how to change the color:
Change the color of numbers or bullets in a list
On the View menu, click Show Special Characters.
Create a numbered or bulleted list.
How?
Select the paragraph mark at the end of a list item.
On the Format menu, click Font.
Under General, click the arrow next to Color.
Click the color you want.
-Or-
To see more choices, click More Colors, and then click the color you want.
Click OK.

Mary, I appreciate your help with this. I sincerely tried to delve into the
help file first before my initial post.

Since I try to learn from the experts in this group, I tried to follow your
directions using the help file. However, when I input the word "bullet" I
get no hits on it. I managed to navigate to the help page as shown in the
attached file, followed the directions for changing the color of a bulleted
item, and it does not produce the correct results for me. (The bullets and
the text are changed to the same color.)

Where I am going wrong? BTW, I have P2002.

Thankgs for your help.

Oops...a senior moment. I forgot to attach the file in my earlier
post.

Why did you place the image file into a Publisher document before posting?

Mary's directions are an adaptation of the help file, as the help file does
not fully allow for changing of the bullet colour only.
Ignore the help file, follow Mary's instructions to the letter, and you
should have no trouble.
