Hi,

I've some problems when I try to realize a custom report that show me the
MS-Project schedule project for each resources in a data range.

The project has different summary task, but the same activities, so when I
create the report who does what when, I see in the report also the summary
task that began out of the range data, but ended in the range data, but I
want to see only the activies with their summary task in the data range that
I set. How can I do?

Thank for any suggestions,

gio

Hi gio,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

But a summary that finishes within the range must have tasks also within
that same range. Why would you want to exclude those? Do you exclude
summaries that start within range but don't finish within range? Do you
exclude tasks that start before the range and finish after?

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi Mike,

thank you for your reply.

I try to better explain the problem.I have some activties that are partial
completed (70%,80%...), but when I create the report for a data range, I want
to show only activities and the summary task of the 20% (that has been made
in the data range), not also when the summary activity began, that is not
included in the data range. The partial completed activities have the initial
date out of the range but the finish date included.
I've setted the filter 'data range', but it's not enough.

How can I do?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm still doubtful of my understanding of what you want. You could try
using a Flag field to mark those you want to show and filter on those. The
date range can also be set in the Printer dialog - From / To dates.

Thank for support.

I have a project A, composed by activities 1,2,3. The activities 1 and 2
began on 3/6/09 are completed for 60%. The previous end date is 20/6/09. So
if I run the report with data range from 7/6/09 to 25/6/09, I see the summary
task A with initial date 3/6/09 and finish date 20/6/09 ( I don’t see any
activities 1,2,3) and the palnned activities 1,2,3 planned in the range date.
That’s the problem, I want to see only the activities with their summary task
only included in the data range.
I think that the problem is linked with the filter of data range that is
set by default ‘ the task that ended or began after’ and ‘before’.

know how can I do?

Thanks for any suggestion.

Sorry, I can't diagnose this with the limited amount of data. I would also
need to know the settings you've made to create the custom report. If you
zip up your project and send it to me, I'll have a look. glenATmvpsDOTorg
is my disguised email address - change the capitals.
