Delete double mouse click per slide in presentation

I've created a powerpoint slide show.
In view mode, I have to double click the mouse before the slides changes to
the next one.
How do I delete the double click?
I want the slide to display on the screen, then click it once to move onto
the next slide.

This is usually the result of an animation, possibly on the master
slide. Go to the master slide and look at Custom Animation to see if
there are any. Get rid of the animations, and the double-clicking
problem should go away.

Also look for sound files or sounds in the transitions (even if the sound is
of nothing or the volume is turned off). They can also need to be clicked
to end, before a click advances the slide.
