Deletion of Office 2000 and Installation of Office 2007

I presently have Office 2000 Pro installed. I purchased Office 2007 Standard.
Can someone tell me how I can save Access from the 2000 Pro while installing
the 2007. I do not wish to run the two installations in parallel. Can Access
be reinstalled from the original 2000 disks after 2007 is installed, or is
there a way to only remove Word, Excel, and Powerpoint from the 2000
installation ?

You can just install 2007. Allow it to upgrade the programs it can. It will
not delete Access.
