disk full error message in office 2004

we have a mac at home with office 2004 for students, my daughter was
preparing a math report in word with algorithms and encountered an error
message that disk full. we have found out that we need visual basic
application to load and fix but not sure how to get it unless purchase new
office software, any suggestions? Also we finally saved in text mode but now
the algorithnms may be effed up and it is a requirement of the school that it
be turned in via email in a doc format. appreciate any help that you can
extend.

Office 2004 has VBA built in.

But VBA is not "likely" to fix that error, which basically means "Word was
unable to save the file".

In the case of a file containing lots of equations, it is more likely that
the file was simply corrupt, and you have already performed the ultimate
cure.
