Enterprise Custom Field data shows error

Hi I saw a reply to a similar question, but I need further assistance.

MSPS 2007 SP1, Infrastructure Update, Oct Cummulative,

Created custom Enterprise Field for a NUM field to equal the ID field data.

In an existing project, this field returns error# in non summary rows. If I
create a new project, this new field works fine.

Why can't or better yet How Can I get this to work in an existing project
plan.

The purpose is so that I can sort the My Tasks view by task id for a
simplier view as many resources have lots of tasks.

First thing to try is to force a re-calculation. Open the project with the
error and hit F9. See if that sets the correct value.

Thank you so much! That did the trick, I read that somewhere, but I think
all my reading is blurring together.


BUT......
I thought by creating this custom field that I would be able to easily add
it to the My Work view because I have my other custom task fields available
to choose from. What am I doing wrong that I can't add this?

Well upon further testing I believe I have answered this myself. If the
custom field contains a formula you can not select it for the view.
BUMMER!!!

Any idea how to grab task id for the my work view?

UPDATE.... I had to install the DEC Hotfix to resolve both of the issues
described in this thread.
