Entourage 2004 Crashing in an OS X Server/Client Environment

I first started seeing this error when I got a hold of Office 2004 last
Friday now that my University has made it available to faculty, staff, and
students. I loaded it on to a client machine and immediately started testing
it to see how it would hold up. I've got an OS X Server/Client environment
where users' home directories are stored on the server, and then they can
use their "stuff" wherever they'd like, i.e. Networked Home Directories /
Roaming Profiles (as the Windows people would call it). Anyway, I've got
this major bug with Entourage. Whenever it opens up for the first time for a
user with a networked home directory, everything's fine and the user can do
whatever they want. If the user opens Entourage for a second time, now that
the right files have been properly generated, Entourage either brings up an
error that I need to rebuild my database, another error that says "Could not
open that feature" or "Could not complete that action" with an error code
16008, or it will crash immediately after the splash screen.

I saw this kind of error with Office v.X and Word - it took replacing a
networked home directory user's "Carbon Registration Database" file with
that of a user who had an account local to a machine or by placing it in the
same relative spot in the User Template, so that I wouldn't have to create a
script to patch the problem or deal with it by hand in the future. Word
would just crash... Now, Entourage 2004 is crashing in the same manner but I
know it's not using the Carbon Registration Database file in 2004. I've
tried that old trick and it's not working.

Oddly enough I've noticed that if I have Word 2004 open with a blank
document or from a previously saved document, and then open Entourage while
Word is still running, Entourage 2004 has no problems what so ever. This is
at an open document; Word cannot be opened up to the Project Gallery with or
without an already open document in the background, otherwise I still get
the same results out of Entourage.

I have tried making the MUD folder wold writable, trashing the "Database"
file for Entourage, and some other tricks of the trade, but nothing's worked
so far.

I have not noticed any errors what so ever using the same machine, but
logged in as a user who has an account local to that particular Mac. So....
any ideas out there? Any help is greatly appreciated. This is one weird bug.
