Entourage 2008 crashing

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

I've had to punt because Entourage will not load up anymore. It has for sometime crashed evertime I used it but I lived with it. If I scroll down through my emails to fast it crashed but now I when I try to open it all I get is the spinning color wheel. I monitor several e-mail accounts and I liked it better than Apple's mail program but I've had to go back to using Mail. It is the only program I have issues with. The other office programs work fine. I have no clue what to do!

First, this is not normal behavior. We need details before we can start
offering suggestions.

Please include which machine you're running and which version of OS X, as
certain answers will vary between different Macs and Tiger vs. Leopard or
Snow Leopard, etc. Including RAM helps when there are performance issues.

How much free space on your drive along with the size of your database would
help.

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/database/index.html#db1>

We also need to know what version of Entourage you are using including any
updates.

What type of account? (POP, IMAP, Exchange)

I just currently got the latest version of Office 2008 and Entourage crashes a few seconds after being open, and it continues to do the same thing after it restarts. My system currently is configured with the following specs:

Snow Leopard 10.6.1
Entourage Version 12.2 (090605) ESD
Entourage Update 12.2.1
8 GIG's of RAM
500GB Drive (400GB of Free Space)
Connecting to an Exchange Account

The problem only happens when running the latest version of Entourage with the latest update.
If I run version 12.1.0 with the latest update being 12.1.0 everything works fine.

below is the error report, I hope is helpful. Help please!!!! : (

Netlib is associated with fonts.

Have you cleared font caches and removed the duplicate fonts after
installing Snow Leopard? If not, do this and see if the problem goes away.

Fonts to delete after installing Snow Leopard

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/troubleshoot/remove_fonts_snowleopard.html>

If the problem exists after removing fonts, testing in a new User will
quickly tell you if the problem is system wide or if it¹s your User¹s folder
that contains the problem.

If it's system wide,

1) install Snow Leopard again. It installs like a combo updater over the
current install. Be sure you update to 10.6.1 afterwards.

2) Reinstall Office if the Snow Leopard re-do doent' fix the crahsing.

Steps to re-install Office

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/install/reinstall_steps.html>

If the problem goes away in the new User, then the problem exists in your
User's folder.
