Entourage block Adobe PDF Files from time to time

J

John Harrison

From time to time I will receive an email with an attachment that is Adobe
PDF and it will not
open in entourage the file name looks faded and when I try to open the file
I get to a message
that states:

There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not
be repaired.

However if I use mac.com for webmail or the mac mail application the
attachment opens fine
this file can only not open in Entourage?

I know when I purchase things at the apple store I get the receipt as a PDF
attachment
and that never is able to open in Entourage and yesterday I got an email
from ticket master
with tickets to print out as a PDF and the above scenario occurred?

Please advise,

John

Why does this happen on my Mac? I have to use Mac mail to open the adobe
file
so it has to be problem or preference In Entourage?

Why does *what* happen? It's kind of hard to know exactly what you mean
by "blocks Adobe PDF files sometimes".

Do you have Partially download messages? It¹s possible the file is just
incomplete.

If you drag the file to your desktop, what application is set to open it. Do
a Get Info. You might want to select Preview and Change All unless you have
Adobe Acrobat installed.

That's my suspicion as well. Look for a link at the top of the message
to download the complete message.

Hope this helps!
