Hello,
I am using Entourage 12.1.9 on an exchange server. It allows me to log in and update all folders but when I try to compose a new email, it shows the following error message:

"Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?

When I reenter my password, the same error message keeps pooping up. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tracy

I meant to say "popping" up not "pooping" up (although that seems appropriate as well).

Options:

1) MacFixIt readers offer two solutions to recent Microsoft Office issues

2) Open Keychain Access application in Applications/Utilities folder. Run
Keychain First Aid. It's in the Keychain menu under Keychain Access. This
might fix the problem, if not, delete the entry for that account.

Go to Entourage, select 'Accounts' from the Tools menu, choose the account
that was giving you trouble and delete that account. You should now be able
to create a new account and enter the correct information. Type carefully.
If you paste don't include spaces.

The password should now stick.

3) Try creating a new Entourage identity and setting up your email account.
When the email address is verified with the new identity and you receive
your e-mail, then try switching back to the identity that you had a problem
with and check your mail. This solved the problem for some users.

Thank you! Deleting and setting up the account again worked. I appreciate your help with this.
