by adding my email account into outlook, officw 2003
verion, I encounter error 0X800cccf4. this means that
oulook can not synchronize hotmail folders.

YAHOO! (Half a Solution)

I have tried for hours to sort this problem, in the end I gave up and
switched to a Yahoo mail account. It's a hassle having to change
e-mail address, but if you you want to use a pop 3 account with
Outlook 'Yahoo' does what 'Hotmail' can't!
