Error 3761 - decimal field's precision is too small

Does anyone know how to change the default setting in
Access to receive data in numeric format with 4 decimal
places prior to the creation of a table?

I'm trying to import a table from an external database
that includes data up to 4 decimal places. However,
Access is generating this import error because the default
setting in Access only allows data up to 2 decimal
places.
