Error loading Office SP1-kb936982

Hello, I had to reinstall XP after numerous problems and am reinstalling
Office 2007. I discovered a SP1 and downloaded it from Microsoft. When I
go to install it at the run screen it says its not a verified publisher
and when I click on run it reports that C:\temp\office 2007 sp1-kb936982
fullfile-en-us.exe is not a valid Win32 application. Help needed.

Did you run winupdate after installing winxp?
And did you install the correct device drivers & chipset drivers from
manufacturers sites and NOT winupdate
And finally after installing Office 2007 did you then run winupdate again in
order that you could receive the update to MS Update? which you then ran?

That error message usually means a bad checksum and therefore a corrupted
file download. Have you tried downloading the file again? Also open %tmp%
and clear the temp folder.
