error Word could not load the e-mail envelope

I was trying to use the Send to Mail recipient Function
in Word XP (trying to mail a document with frames and
images) and got this error: "Word could not load the e-
mail envelope. This could be caused by a network
connection problem or a problem with your Office
installation."
I found one knowledge base article for that error message
but it didn't seem to apply."
Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

Its possible that this component of Word has become corrupted. I would
suggest using the the "Detect & Repair" feature from the Help menu in Word.
Also apply the latest Service Packs and Patches for Word.
