In Excel 2004 for Mac, how can I save a chart as an image/picture in a format such as JPEG, GIF, PICT, BMP?

Control/Right-Click the chart & select Save As Picture, choose the file type
from the list in the dialog.

That's part of the problem. If I Control/Right-Click the chart there is not a "Save as" option.

The options I can see are:
Help
Format Chart Area
Chart Type
Source Data
Chart Options
Location
3-D View
Chart Window
Clear

Looks like your Chart toolbar got corrupted. The easiest way to check is
to, with XL *closed*, trash or rename the

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft:Excel Toolbars (11)

file (where ~ is your home directory).

Thanks for the tip J.E.; however, it didn't work. I trashed it and open Excel and tried the Control/Right-click and I observed the same as before.

OK, that's weird. Do you have any code running that would adjust your
menus? Does the behavior change if you start XL with the Shift Key down?

Does this happen with new charts as well as this one?

Mine are

Help
Format Chart Area
Chart Type...
Source Data...
Chart Options...
Location...
3D View... <greyed out for my 2-D chart>
Chart Window
Cut
Copy
Paste
Clear
Save as Picture...
Bring to Front
Send to Back
Assign Macro...

OK - you're dealing with a Chart Sheet rather than a chart embedded in a
worksheet, right? In 2004 the shortcut menu doesn't contain the Save as
Picture command. Use the Location command to move the chart to a worksheet,
then use the Save as Picture command. When done use the Location command to
send the chart back to a Chart Sheet.

Another thought - Print the Chart Sheet as PDF?

Thanks CyberTaz.
That was the solution to the problem.
Now, is there any way to keep the size constant when the chart is transferred from the chart sheet to the worksheet?
Right now, when I transfer the chart the size of the chart and the size of the fonts are changed.
