finding word.

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I have two versions of Office on my computer. Microsoft Office 2004 and Microsoft Office 2008 Special Media Edition. Until about a week ago Word was on my computer. Out of no where it seems it has been deleted yet all the other Microsoft Office programs are still there. When I try to use my installation disc it says there is a newer version? What should I do next?

Why - exactly - do you have the impression that Word has been 'deleted'?
Which version (2004 or 2008) seems to be missing? Have you looked in the
respective Microsoft Office 2004 & Microsoft Office 2008 folders within the
Applications folder to see if the apps are actually there?

The response when trying to reinstall suggests that the program is still
there, so finding it should be the first priority.
