"Get Entire Message"

B

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange PROBLEM: All new incoming emails will not show the entire email message without me first clicking on the text, "Get Entire Message", --this is very annoying! This applies to even 2 sentence messages to larger emails with attachments. I'm not exceeding my server side allocated space. This has been quite the conundrum. Other users not having this problem.

Here's the troubleshooting I have already performed:
1) Set the radio button to "receive complete messages"
2) Ditched the Entourage preferences
3) Emptied Entourage cache
4) Fixed disk permissions
5) Even re-installed application and ditched old identity.

Any help appreciated.

If you go into Tools --> Accounts... and double-click your Exchange
account you can edit the download settings under the Options tab. What
do you see there?

Hi Bill,

The setting is already set to "receive complete messages", that was the first thing I looked at.
I'm beginning to think there might be a problem server side on this as this is an Exchange account.

----Any thoughts?

I'm not using an Exchange account, but the same thing happens to all my POP
accounts. It's gone on since two Entourage upgrades ago. I hope there's a
fix.

I have the same problem. But I dont have a setting that says "receive complete message".

There is a setting that says "partially receive messages over xxxx kb" and I set it to 9999kb which is the highest setting and checked the box and it STILL wasn't receiving the entire message. I have to click "Receive Entire Message".

I don't understand why there would be such a function...??? I want all my messages in their entirety.

Can you help me to fix this?? Please. Thanks.

I have the same problem. But I dont have a setting that says "receive
complete message".

There is a setting that says "partially receive messages over xxxx kb"

"Receive Entire Message".

Please help avoid confusion.

If you have an answer or comment for the original poster then please
respond within his or her thread. Otherwise, if you're looking for a
solution to your own problem -- no matter how similar to someone else's
-- then begin your own thread. Similar problems may not have the same
solutions.

The original problem involves an Exchange account. If you don't have an
option to "Receive complete messages" then you're using a different type
of account and you really need to begin your own thread.
