Global Address List

I've got two users on our system whos names do not appear in the Global
Address List on Outlook.

They are able to send/recieve e-mail normally, and they appear in the Active
Directory Users list on our Webmail server. The only common point between
them is that when the accounts were setup there was no X:400 entry in the
e-mail Addresses list for either of them. This entry had to be added in
manually. I'm wondering if there is some setting or something in that process
that was missed, that prevents them from appearing. Or, if there is some
further step that was not taken to manually add them to that list as well.

Thank you in advance for any advice that you can offer.

The GAL is part of Exchange, not Outlook....microsoft.public.exchange.admin
is the best group for Exchange questions, but you need to specify your
version (& SP level!) of Exchange in there...

In your Exchange server, you mean. OWA is Exchange's webmail client.

The recipient policy on the server should take care of assigning all
addresses, of all address types. That said, you are unlikely to really be
using X.400.

Are they set up as 'hidden' from the address book in their ADUC properties
on the server?

If not, and you're using cached mode on your other clients, make sure your
offline address book is being generated properly on the Exchange server, and
that all clients are able to download it (send | receive settings, download
address book) without sync errors.

Thank you for the advice, I'll look into this, and if I have any further
questions, I'll move them over to the appropriate Newsgroup.

Hello

I know this is a old response, but did you ever find a solution to your
problem, I am experiencing the same with Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003
