Graphic Resizes in Word Document

I am linking a logo graphic in several documents. The graphic size is 1.37 x
7.25 inches. I save the file and when I open it again, the graphic is
smaller, 1.14" x 5.99 and the scale is 83%. Why is it doing that? I need to
have this file linked because various offices will be using the same
electronic letter, but different letterhead (the link). Why does the graphic
size keep changing? Using Word 2003. Thanks. PS
