Graphical indicator for change to baseline start/finish

I need to set up some graphical indicators to quickly show changes to the
baseline start and/or finish date. Does anyone have these done, before I
start writing the formulas myself.
Thanks

You could add a new bar style for the task's 2nd baseline start/
finish..
(i.e., the field "Baseline start1")

This is copied from the help file:

Display multiple Gantt bars for each task
If you want to see more than one type of information about individual
tasks (task: An activity that has a beginning and an end. Project
plans are made up of tasks.) in a graphic format, you can display up
to four rows of Gantt bars (Gantt bar: A graphical element on the
chart portion of the Gantt Chart view representing the duration of a
task.) per task. For example, you can display baseline (baseline plan:
The original project plans [up to 11 per project] used to track
progress on a project. The baseline plan is a snapshot of your
schedule at the time that you save the baseline and includes
information about tasks, resources, and assignments.) start and finish
dates and actual start and finish dates for each task.

On the View menu, click Gantt Chart.
On the Format menu, click Bar Styles.
In the Row column of the bar type that you want to appear first for
each task, type or select 1.
In the Row column of the bar type that you want to appear second for
each task, type or select 2.
If you want to display a third or fourth row of task information, type
or select 3 or 4 in the Row column for the information you want to
appear.
Note Row 1 will appear in the highest position for each task and row
4 will appear in the lowest position.

Tip

You can avoid increasing the vertical height of the Gantt Chart by
decreasing the height of the Gantt bars. On the Format menu, click Bar
Styles, select the bars you want to make thinner, and then click the
Bars tab. In the Shape boxes under Start, Middle, and End, click a
medium or thin bar shape.

thanks, that would work for project managers, but the senior directors want
to be able to just look quickly and see an indicator that something has
changed. I guess we have spoiled them since we did graphical indicators for
status, and they can quickly scroll thru and look at the stop light indicators

Hello OBG,

What specifically do you mean by "changes to the baseline start and/or
finish dates"? Are you looking for variances (Start, Finish) from
baseline or indicators if the baselines have been changed either
manually or by saving a new baseline?

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
