Group, regroup, rotate or flip in Word 2002

Our company just upgraded to Office XP (2002) for 2000. We can no longer
group, regroup, rotate or flip in Draw. The choices are grayed out. This
was used heavily by our set up staff to draw diagrams for setting up meeting
rooms. What do we do to get this back?
