how can I specify my *own* path and name for My Shapes folder ?

The presence (and recreation, if renamed or deleted) of My Shapes folder
annoys me beyond any limit. I want to specify my OWN choosed name for it,
let alone the path for it.
How can I do that ? Configuration setting ? Registry setting ? File hacking
?

Best thing would be to can change (or synchronize) the actual "My Shapes"
label under Shapes icon toolbar item with my own given name for the above
mentioned [physical] folder.

Thank you,
Cristi

Add the required file path to the Stencils, Templates and Add-ons file
paths sections in
menu --> Options --> Advanced --> File Paths

There may be another way of doing this via a registry setting but I
can't see anything ....

No, that didn't helped. I filled all available paths with something on my
own (already existing as physical), now the Open File... dialog points
correctly to my own path, but Visio continues to recreate the My Shapes
folder in the same place.
I deleted that folder in every immaginable situation (including by pointing
the whole My Documents temporarily on a removable stick and then unplug it),
but it comes back at every Visio restart after restoring the My Documents
location.

The ability to change the path to the My Shapes folder (and to permanently
delete it) was added in Visio 2003 SP2.

That's good news, thank you :)
