Shopping carts are usually 3rd party programs. Check with you web hosting
company to see if they provide one. Find out about the restrictions for
their free one, such as number of items, does it handle sales tax and
shipping charges. Most of the free ones, are severly limited. You will also
need an open credit card merchant account.

Finally, use a program that was designed for web development, not Publisher.
I suggest either FrontPage or its successor Expression Web. A free one is
Nvu from http://www.nvu.com

Setting one up on your own would be a daunting task...security an credit
cards and all that. Like the others have said look for a third party
solution.

One solution that is easy is Paypal (cheep too, since you don't need to set
up your own credit card merchant account)...but if you plan on selling a lot
of items you'd best look to a more robust solution.

Take a look at www.ezcat.com . It is very full-featured and very
configurable and can also work *WITHIN* your design rather than have
your customers go to a separate site to shop.

Hope this helps!
