How do I add jump links within a long Word Doc for easier nav?

I'm using MS Office XP and I'd like to, if possible, create a set of Anchors
within a Word Doc and have a Corresponding set of Jump Links which would
always be visible and which I could subsequently use to "Jump" to a
particular section of any very long Word Doc which I might be working on. I
would like to do this locally, in Word, and don't require any web-based
functionality, though that is the type of functionality I am looking for
locally within Word! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in
advance!

If you are using the built-in heading styles (or any others that have an
outline level assigned), you may find the Document Map helpful.
