How do I get Outlook to work with Symantec Winfax Pro

I can't get MS Outlook (XP & 2003) to work with Symantec Winfax Pro (I have
latest version 10.5 I think). I have installed all available updates for
both XP & 2003 as they come available plus any for Winfax but I can't open
mail with attachments or some HTML based mail, it just hangs then crashes. I
always send error report to MS. Outllok won't work again until I reboot, I
can't send attachments either, same problem occurs. If I uninstall Winfax
everything is ok & Outlook works fine but I need Winfax due to having one
modem on one line to auto-receive & another on second line to send. Outlook
Express works ok but is a bit restricted compared to full Outlook. I have
installed Winfax with no mail or Outlook integration specified but Outlook
always puts Winfax folders in tree plus a Winfax button on toolbar which I
can't remove. I have tried to access add-ins to see if I can remove Winfax
from Outlook but I have same crash problems again. I have Outlook as main
mail programme, does any body know if I uninstall Outlook then put Winfax on
first then Outlook back on after if it could possibly work. Many Thanks!

I have seen no evidence that Symantec is capable of or has any intention of
updating WinFax Pro to make it compatible with current versions of Outlook.
You'll have to direct your question to them or keep watching their website
for information.

I gave up on Winfax Pro 10.X three years ago following
installation of WinXP Pro. My solution was to create PDFs
and send them as e-mail attachments. Free PDF writers are
available from:
http://www.primopdf.com/
and
http://www.win2pdf.com/

They install as a "printer driver." So with the document
open, Print> Select the appropriate PDF writer. Then attach
the PDF to your e-mail message.

You can send FAX over the Intenet. See:
http://www.venali.com/ This is a great service if the
preponderance of your fax transmissions incur long distance
charges.
