Outlook 2007 with Symantec Winfax V10

T

Terry

I just installed a new version of Office 2007 After setting up Outlook,
(which worked ok) I installed Symantec Winfax V10. Now everytime I shut down
Outlook I receive the error invalid operation, send do not send report. When
I sent the report the response was a problem with Winfax. I did not have
winfax open.

I could not find an answer at Symantec. I'm looking for a reason and repair
to the shut down problem.

Wnfax integrates itself with Outlook but apparently does do a great job at
it. Check with Symantec for updates or disable its integration with Outlook.

I assume you are correct, but the questions is how? Winfax to my knowledge is
not noe linked to outlook and I cannot find anything about the problem at
Symantec, plus when looking for an update the applications says it is up to
date.

Does outlook have a fax out option?

Roady meant that Symantec's WinFax does NOT do an adequate job if
integrating with Outlook (especially recent versions) and never has. Outlook
2007 can integrate with Windows XP Fax, Vista Fax and Scan, and the various
Internet Fax Services designed to work with Outlook.

I tried Symantec got no where.
I uninstalled Winfax, I'll use Windows Fax.

But now I found another problem when I added a POP3 e mail account. I have
an exchange server, which is working. However I try to connect to a POP3
(through Outlook) it fails to make a connection. I tried from a 2003 outlook
works fine. Seems if I turn the firewall off everything works.

Outlook is listed as an exception.

Do you know what else I need to change?

Have you tried contacting Symantec? It's their add-in that seems to be
causing the problem.
