Improve spell checking in Powerpoint

In MS Word, you can set the default language to either British or American
English, and when you run the spell check it will identify the differences
such as colour/colour, installment/instalment etc. It will also allow the use
of either the Z or S varients of words such as organise in UK English, and
only allow the Z version in US English.
However, the spellchecker in Powerpoint is different to that in Word. it
doesn't seem to pick up these differences. Even the Excel spellchecker seems
to do a better job of it than Powerpoint.
It would be great if the Powerpoint spellchecker would be consistent with
the one in Word.

The proofing tools for MS Office 2003 are shared by all of the apps. There aren't separate ones for Powerpoint and Excel.

If you select text in Powerpoint and use Tools=>Language you can set the same English(U.K) settings that you can in Word.

You can also select text, use F7 to do a spell check and in the 'correction' dialog choose English(U.K.) or English(U.S) in Word,
Excel or Powerpoint.
