MS OFFICE - WORD - SPELLCHECKER CHANGES LANGUAGE WHILST SPELL CHEC

Hi,

I am in the process of spell checking a essay for Uni using Ms Word part of
the student office package, for some reason my spell checker keeps changing
from English (UK) to English (American /US). Does anyone know how I can make
the spellchecker stay on English UK?

I will lose marks if my essay is misspelt

You can force the spellchecker to treat your text as English (United States)
all the time as follows:

After you type all your text, select all of it (easiest way is holding CTRL
and pressing A), then click the language bar in the lower-left corner of your
screen. Right now, it probably says either English (United States) or
English (United Kingdom). From the list of languages that appears, choose
English (United States). Now all of the text you selected will be
spell-checked against a US dictionary.
