Major latency problem when office accessing Netware Drive

We have a Windows 2000 sp4 workstation with Office XP loaded that suffers
major latency when you try to access a netware mapped drive throu the office
package ( Open command). When I go to Explorer, I have no problem opening
the directories on the same mapped drive. We have upgraded the Novell
client to 4.90 sp2, and have run the patches for Office. Does anyone have
any suggestions to the slow down?

Remove links/mapping to disconnected remote drives.

I did find a reference to the netware server in Network neighborhood and
removed it, but the access is still slow. Thanks for helping, but something
else is causing this. If you think of anything else, please let me know.

It's probably a mup problem. Unbind the microsoft client and then try office
