FYI :

Just finished working with Microsoft on resolving SQL Reporting issues while
installing the tool (MS PP Server 2007 sp2) with SQL Server 2008 backend.
There's some information missing about specifying location details for the
data source in the install documentation (Beta) and Microsoft have mentioned
that they will be updating the documenation soon so that it doesn't break SQL
reporting while installing the portfolio server.

Ran into that one already. PPS SP2 does not support SSRS 2008. PPS out of
the box reporting makes a call to Create AppDomain which is no longer
supported under SSRS 2008 & IIS7. Ended up installed SQL 2005 w/ SSRS to
support reporting only.

Dennis,
We got it working with 2008 by modifying the sql web config. microsoft said
that they will publish the install documentation after including these
changes.

That will be very helpful!

Prasanna,

Could you share the modification to the SQL web.config file? Also, do you
know when the new documentation will be released?

Thanks,
Rich

Could you please give us more detail as to the changes you made to the
sql 2008 web.config file, or give us the MS Case\Reference # so that
we can have our MS Premier Support Engineer reference the notes on
your case.

Thanks,
Mr M Mills @ gmail.com
