Milestones and progress against them

Is there a “report†in MSProject where we can show just milestone tasks and
progress against them?

On the formatting toolbar, there is a filter drop down. Change to
"Milestones".
Traditionally, milestones are 0-100% propositions. I can't be 35% complete
with a milestone. Milestones are 0 duration activities and therefore cannot
have any measure of partial complete.

For determining "%Complete" type data for your report, consider using other
tasks that lead into that task. For example, I could have a summary task
"File Report". Underneath that summary task are detail tasks, one of which
is a final milestone "Report Submitted". So, I can take %Complete against
the detail task such as Author, Peer Review, Make Corrections, Management
Approval Cycle...

When you make your "How far along am I report..." you can use the rolled up
%complete for the summary task "File Report". In the meantime, until such
time as the report is actually submitted, the %Complete of the "Report
Submitted" milestone remains at 0%.
