Number of allowed installs for Academic License - Office Ultimate

Anomiko

About a year ago, I purchased the Academic version of Office Ultimate 2007
from Digital River. At the time I decided to install the software just on my
new laptop. Now I'm purchasing a new desktop and am wondering if I can
install Office Ultimate on it. I still have the dvd I purchased from Digital
River.

Read your Microsoft Software Licensing Agreement in outlook->Help->About.
It will tell you what your license entitles you to do.

You need to look at the EULA. Word, Office Button, Word Options, Resources,
About, View the Microsoft Software License Terms.

With the "academic" versions it is generally three concurrent installs.

Thanks for all your help! I was able to locate the EULA but I can't seem to
make heads or tails of it. It mentions something about a licensed device and
a portable device. So does that mean I can install it on a desktop and a
laptop?

Also, I did not any reference to number of concurrent installs. Where in
the EULA would that information occur?

The MSLA indicates from what you posted, that you can install on a desktop
and notebook, which is what you want to do. Each license (2) can be re-used
on the same machine in case of a need to reinstall.

Wrong. We are talking about Academic PRICING here, not Home and Student
Version.
Academic versions are the same as normal versions except a) they are MUCH
cheaper and b) can only be used by those in full-time education OR a charity
(in the UK at least).
Thus the EULA states the same as full-priced Retail versions on
installation.
And yes I have an Academic licensed version of Office Standard...
