Number of pages in document status bar missing

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

How can I get back the "Pages: X of X" info in my status bar?

Widen the window?

I honestly don't know of anything else other than a Normal/Prefs corruption
causing a symptom I've never heard of. There is no preference for it, it's a
part of the Status Bar so if the Status Bar displays it should be there.

Have you tried going into Word> Preferences - View, turning the Status Bar
off then going back & turning it on again?

Is you're installation of Office fully updated?

Has Word been running for hours/days on end? Does it reappear if you restart
the program?
