Hi,
I have upgraded a Win2K SP3 station to MSI 2.0 and then applied the fix for
the bug "Office 2000 Prompts You to Register After April 15, 2003" (KB
818798 ).
Since that very moment, each time I run an Office product (Excel, Word, ...)
the user installation part is done again.
I tried uninstalling Office, reinstalling Office 2K SR1, applying the patch
(or not). With always the same result : the user part of the installation is
run each time you launch an Office program.
This occurs even if the user is administrator.
I wanted to uninstall MSI 2.0, but I can't manage to do this since its
apparently protected by the system. On the other hand, I tried to upgrade to
the latest MSI version (2.0.2600.2). I still have the same behavior.
What may I try next ?
