Office 2007 Ultimate RTM can't find proof.cab

I'm trying to install Office 2007 Ultimate (ISO downloaded from technet), but
it fails on Vista with an error, stating that it cannot find
Proofing.en-us\Proof.en\Proof.cab. I have used the same ISO on XP with
success.

Earlier postings about this suggest that downloading a new ISO should do the
trick, *or* mounting the ISO as a CD (e.g. with daemon tools), *or* burning
it to a CD.

None of these methods work, not even excluding the proofing tools from
setup. I'm running Vista Ultimate x64, Dutch and English language packs.
Language version of office 2007 is Office 2007 Ultimate English, I need this
machine to be bilingual so I'll be adding the Dutch language pack later on.

could you extract the .iso to your hdd? i experienced issues like this
because the image was mounted with long filenames disabled.

Tried that, same error. The strange thing is, I have used this image to
install Office 2007 on Xp without any problems.

I'm having the same problem on a 32 bit machine. I've tried burning to a
dvd, mounting the iso, extracting to my hard drive. No matter what, it keeps
looking for the proof.cab file. I can see the proof.cab in the correct
folder, but when I point to it, the installation say's it's invalid.
