Office 2008 (specifically, Excel/Word/Powerpoint) crash on startup

Everytime I attempt to open Excel or Word or Powerpoint, I get a
crash. Entourage, however, works. Appended below is the crash
information.

I have tried other suggestions included in the forum (removing
preferences, opening with shift key). There are no old versions of
Office 2004 left on the system.

Any help/suggestions to fix will be welcome.

I am suffering the same problem - but I think I caused it when I removed a file from my "Startup Items" - but I can't for the life of me remember what the file is called to reactivate it! I have tried to reinstall Office but it doesn't reinstate this file either.

Have you cleared caches? Have you restarted and run Repair Permissions?

Have you created a new User in System Preferences and tested Office there?

What version of the OS do you have installed? If it's Leopard what method
did you use to install? If you updated Leopard did you use the Software
updater or did you download the combo 10.5.2 updater.

1. Upgrade Mac OS X (the default upgrade method)
2. Archive and Install
3. Erase and Install

How large is your HD? How full? (use Activity Monitor in Utilities --> click
on Disk Usage tab at the bottom of the window)

How much RAM?

I don't plan on upgrading to Leopard right now.

I reinstalled Office and it still does not work. However, as
suggested, I created a new user and it works for with that account.

No idea what is going on.
