Office 2008 won't install

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC I just bought this software and when I double click on the installer icon the installer app just momentarily shows up on the application bar and disappears.

This also happens for some but not all installers I've used. I'd really appreciate any help on resolving this installer issue.

Installers are independent applications, so if you're having a problem with
them the first question is whether the OS is fully updated. Tiger needs to
be at 10.4.11 & if you're already at that build it might not be a bad idea
to fetch the 10.4.11 COMBO update for your breed of Mac & re-apply it.
Repair disk permissions as well & see if the problem continues after a
restart.

Other considerations could be the specific processor & amount of RAM your
Mac has.

BTW: By "this software" I assume you're referring to Mac Office 2008. Also -
no offense - but are you sure you're obtaining your software from a
legitimate source? There's a lot of piracy going on.
