Version: v.X Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC I'm currently using Office for Max X. Can I upgrade directly to Office for Mac 2008? I have a Student version of the upgrade disk.I am running Tiger on a Power PC desktop unit and Leopard on an Intel based laptop. I would like to upgrade both v.X systems as far as I can.

It isn't clear what you mean by "I have a Student version of the upgrade
disk."

What was known as the Student & Teacher Edition prior to Office 2008 has
never been eligible for upgrade to the S/T Ed. of the next version... That's
part of the reason why the price is so much lower for that edition. In that
same vein, there is no "upgrade" to what is now referred to as the Home &
Student Edition of Office 2008.

If you have a valid license for any edition of a previous release of Mac
Office (98-2004) you are eligible for the upgrade package pricing to any of
the other editions of 2008, however.
